The Wells International Foundation is a U.S. non-profit organization incorporated in Houston, Texas, whose mission is to empower women, children, youth, and persons of African descent to realize their highest potential through arts, literacy, study abroad, and other educational and cultural programs. We are building a network of global citizens who embrace inclusiveness and foster a spirit of cooperation throughout the world. The organization actively provides programs, partnerships, and mentoring in the following Strategic Focus Areas:

1. The Arts – Promoting creative expression and cultural awareness through visual, culinary, and performing arts.

2. STEAM Education – Encouraging women and girls to embrace and pursue STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) careers and excel at them by utilizing artistic skills to the greatest extent possible.

3. Travel and Study Abroad – Preparing individuals to thrive in a global society through international exchange, cultural immersion, and global education opportunities.

4. Literacy – Providing opportunities for K-8 students to learn to love reading, find role models in books that reflect their race and gender, and be exposed to topics that inspire an interest in travel and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math).

5. Women’s Empowerment – Equipping women leaders to maximize their influence and impact through mindset and skills development, sustained support systems, and purposeful philanthropy.
